On the edge of the 20th and 21st centuries, we are witnessing a large-scale transformation of the system of international relations. In his article, prominent expert in IR, member of RAS Vladimir Baranovsky analyzes this system’s functioning in the modern world, in particular the problem of leadership and the mechanisms of multilateral cooperation, and structural features of the system.
