Mechanism of Cyclic Recurrence in Russia

The author discusses the problem of conceptual irreducibility of cyclic schemes of a country’s development to derivatives of the more general models of world cycles. Special efforts are spared to analysis of the formation, as well as of particular features, of state power in Rus (Russia). Among its distinctive characteristics, there are noted: especial “monocentrism”, monopolism, personalistic and paternalistic practices. Contesting models of “cycles of reforms – counter-reforms” and of “cycles of autochthonous development with periods of ‘spurts’ and ‘relaxations’”, the author offers an original model of change of Russian socio-state set-ups.
