Digital Divide and the Internet-users’ Political Preferences in Russia
Analyzed in the article are political preferences and political participation in Russia in terms of the existing digital divide. Based on the results of the representative surveys that were conducted in 2006 and in 2008 by the program of the European Social Survey, the paper concludes that the digital divide in Russia is increasing. In the meantime the differences in political preferences and in the level of political participation between Internet-users and Non-users in Russia at the moment remain to a certain degree insignificant.
