Iranian Atomic Bomb. To Be or Not to Be?

The article tackles analysis of the reasons inducing Iran to seek to obtain nuclear weapon. On analyzing the situation arisen today in the Middle East, the author argues that motivation for creating nuclear weapon will remain with Iran until the geopolitical situation in the region changes. According to his conclusion, the present-day nuclear program of the Islamic Republic of Iran is underlain, though indirectly, by the American factor, in particular by the US policy towards post-revolutionary Iran, one of the latest manifestations of which policy was the inclusion of the country in the “world evil axis”. As the author infers, it is in the plane of the Irano-American relations that solution of the question: “Is Iranian atomic bomb to be or not to be?” — should be sought.
