Political Science: Problems of Methodological Reflexion (Review of a Round Table)

A discussion on methodology of political science was held recenyly at the Polis journal, presided over by A.S.Kuzmin. The list of its participants included L.Ye.Blyakher, A.A.Kazantzev, V.Yu.Militaryov, Ye.I.Ovcharenko, V.M.Sergeyev, M.S.Fyodorov. The issues under discussion were: 1) the limits of the political and of political science itself in the structural-logical and the «archaeological» aspects; 2) social composition and functions of a political science community, including the one in Russia; 3) application of general scientific methods and of demarcation standards, i.e. distinction of scientific from parascientific knowledge; 4) correlation of the ordinary languages of politics and the metalanguages of political science; 5) political theory structures and political reality model schemes.
