Foundations and Prospects of Regional Political Studies

The article deals with the problems of an important subject sphere of political science: regional studies (regionalistics) which the author presents as comprising a complex of interdisciplinary studies (the disciplines involved being, for instance: economics, geography, ethnology, sciences of culture, of law etc.). Such approach enables scholars to analyze the regional structure of a state and to develop and substantiate efficient regional strategies.
