Creative Potential of Russia’s Political Science Community (The Major Domains of Studies)

One of indispensable factors conditioning the formation of the present-day Russia’s political science is accumulation of its own pithy potential of research, its scientific potential proper, which is composed of scholarly works. Nowadays, political scientists of Russia develop their studies in practically all major domains of general (classical) and applied political science. In his analytical review, the author has tried to single out the leading themes Russia’s scholars turn to, including: the study of the phenomenon of politics; of the problems of politics and of professional political activities; working out a general theory of political and party systems; of political elites, of political power, of political regimes and ideologies; problems of nation state building; and different aspects of modern political culture.
