Liberal Values in Russians' Consciousness (Ended from the Previous Issue)

Liberal Values in Russians' Consciousness In this second part of their article, the authors analyse the results of the same sociological study carried out in late 1993. But, as distinct from the first part published in the previous issue and focused on the extent to which liberal values are really actualized in the consciousness of different elite and mass groups of society, they now, in reverse, investigate the real meanings that different population groups' representatives actually read into the verbal expressions of values proper to liberal world outlook (liberty, equality, tolerance, state, private property, justice, progress).
